Call for Papers
5th International Workshop on
Embedded/Distributed HPC Systems and Applications (EHPC 2000)
May 5, 2000, Westin Regina Hotel, Cancun, Mexico
at the International Parallel and Distributed Processing Symposium
IPDPS 2000 --- May 1-May 5, 2000
The International Workshop on Embedded/Distributed HPC Systems and Applications (EHPC) is a forum for the presentation and discussion of approaches, research findings, and experiences in the applications of High Performance Computing (HPC) technology for embedded/distributed systems. Of interest are both the development of relevant technology (e.g.: hardware, middleware, tools) as well as the embedded HPC applications built using such technology.
We hope to bring together industry, academia, and government researchers/users to explore the special needs and issues in applying HPC technologies to defense and commercial applications.
Topics of Interest
The workshop will feature technical papers, presentations, and an open discussion session.
Manuscript Submission
Authors are invited to submit by email a 4-page extended abstract of their paper to Devesh Bhatt (bhatt@htc.honeywell.com) by January 10, 2000. We also invite authors to submit 1-page abstracts of work-in-progress presentations (no paper submission necessary). Abstracts or extended abstracts must be either in plain ascii or postscript format. If submitting in postscript, please include the title, authors, and affiliation in plain ascii text also. (for inclusion in the LNCS Volume)
Proceedings
Proceedings of EHPC 2000, and some other workshops at IPDPS 2000, will published as one volume of Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) by Springer-Verlarg. You must submit camera-ready postscript file by January 31, 2000, to be included in the proceedings. Abstracts will be distributed in hard-copy to the workshop attendees.
