All the DOME documentation and software which can be downloaded from this site, and our mirror sites, is distributed under GNU licenses. Before downloading any materials related to DOME, please read carefully the Rights and Licenses associated with it.
The most recent release of DOME is 5.3. It is available for download in two forms:
1) a run-time version suitable for building, and distributing, new notations and models. This version does not require the Smalltalk development environment, but on the other hand, it is not suitable for development or modification of the DOME core.
2) a set of Smalltalk parcels (source and binary) which are necessary to do development of the DOME core at the source code level; this version requires the VisualWorks 3.1 or 5i development environment. We recommend downloading VisualWorks 5i from the Cincom site
Installation instructions, licenses, and a readme file are included in each of the downloads. Use guides are also included in the .zip file for the Windows version; for other versions, user guides are available from the support page.
Run-time version for Windows
This is an executable version of DOME for Windows NT/95/98. DOME requires 32 Mb RAM, and a 133 MHz processor or better is recommended. It is a self-extracting zip file, which installs automatically via conventional Windows installation scripts. The file includes all DOME manuals as well as a README and a NEWS text file.

Run-time version for Sun Solaris
This is an executable version of DOME for the Sun Solaris operating environments.
The installation procedures for this version are included in the download, but are also available separately if you'd like to preview them (Installation Instructions--8k text file).

Linux version and Smalltalk Source Code for VisualWorks 5i
This is a set of Smalltalk parcels, and associated load and run files. It is suitable for direct usage as well as development and inspection of the DOME core.
Use of the parcel require VisualWorks 5i, which is available from Cincom International.

Although installation of DOME source is straightforward, the installation procedures can be viewed separately if you would like to preview the process. Also, if you are using WinZip on a PC to extract this file, make sure the "TAR File Smart CR/LF Conversion" is disabled.
