DOME? |
|
Welcome to DOME!DOME (the DOmain Modeling Environment) is a meta-CASE system suitable for building object oriented software models (Coad-Yourdon OOA and UML, for example), and more importantly, for building original types of models. It includes a graphical front-end, and a powerful back-end language for generating code, analyses and documentation. It is fully functional, tested, documented, and it is free, distributed under GNU General Public licenses. Announcing New Release-DOME 5.3The latest release of DOME is 5.3, which was posted to this site on March 1, 2000. This is a significant new release of DOME and includes:
This release also includes a number of enhancements and bug-fixes. See Changes.txt for details. DOME for LinuxWe are withdrawing the previously released pre-built version of DOME 5.3 for Linux. Although this version was convinient to install and use, it had a tendency to lock-up any system using the glibc 2.1 libraries. A full featured version of DOME 5.3 remains available however as a set of parcels for Visual Work Smalltalk. A free non-commercial version of VisualWorks is available from Cincom International . Instructions on how to install DOME into this environment are included on our download page.
DOME model libraryA number of users have asked about exchanging DOME models, so we've set up an anonymous ftp site to make this easier. Look to the conference page for notification of new models and their descriptions. We'll also monitor the postings and highlight especially interesting or useful submissions. |
